Epilogue
Finding Old Friends and Bromides

You'll start off at Gwyn's Place. Head to Raculi. Behind Ronfar's house there is a chest containing Mauri's Bromide 2. Talk to Ronfar in his house to have him join your party. Talk to Mauri to have her give you Mauri's Bromide 1. Go to Vane and talk to Lemina. She joins for 10,000 Silver. Borgan gives you Borgan's Bromide. Go to the library and look at the central book. Return to Miria and talk to her. Talk to the elderly woman in the lower left house in Vane to get Luna's Bromide. Then go to the Carnival and pick up Jean. Jean's Bromide 4 is in a chest near her. A man in the eastern part of the north part of the Carnival offers to sell Jean's Bromide 3 to you.

Go to Taben's Peak and talk to Nall. He gives you Althena's Sword. The kid with the gray hair in the room just out of Nall's has Nall's Bromide. You have to talk to him a few times though. Lucia's Bromide 2 is in the hands of the baby in the playground. Lucia's Bromide 4 is in a chest in the cell where you were held. Go to Meribia and enter the sewers through Ramus' shop. To to the southwest of the stairs to the second area there is a chest containing Lemina's Bromide 4. Go to Horam and talk to the master of Drunken Fist Karate to get Jean's Bromide 1. Go to Takkar and talk to the man by the northern gate to get Mystere's Bromide.

Return to the Mystic Ruins and talk to one of the northern fairies. She gives you Lucia's Bromide 3. Now go up the stairs. Go down, left, up, down, left, up, down, and go up the stairs. Go left, right, up, left, down, up, and then up the stairs. Open the chest in the viewer room to get Ghaleon's Bromide. Use the teleporter to go outside. Talk to Leo to have him join the group. Now exit the place. If you have followed the walkthrough this far, you should have a total of 21 Bromides. The last one is in a place called Lionhead, but we won't attempt that place quite yet!

The Rememberizer Crystal
Go to Nota. Talk to Julia on the eastern side of the bridge. Take her letter to Kyle. He is in the tavern in west Nota. Tell him not to give up. The bunch of you crash a wedding. Kyle gives you the Rememberizer Crystal. You can use the Crystal to view past memories. You start off with but a single one - "En Route to Pentagulia". Go to the roof of the Magic Guild in Vane to unlock "Ghaleon's Challenge" and "Destiny Departs". Go to Taben's Peak and you'll get "An Old Friend".

Climb the Blue Spire to unlock the following sequences - "The Blue Spire", "Lucia's Confusion", "Spire in Shadow", "Lucia's Arrival", "Tearful Farewell", and "A New Beginning". Return to the East Desert Pass to get the "Dragonship Destiny" sequence (it occurs where you first met Leo). Head to Larpa and go to the tavern to unlock "Ronfar's Entrance". You can also get "Lucia Reflects" at the docks here. Go to the Carnival to unlock "The Disguise", "Punched-Out Peeps" and "Lucia's New Clothes".

Go to Takkar and then leave town via the southern exit. Go west and into the Forest of Illusion. "Jean's Entrance" will be added to the list. Then go to the male side of the baths (to the east). "Althena's Spring" will be added to the list. Return to Takkar and go up the eastern mountain pass. Return to where you fought the Magic Tester LX1 in the haunted manor. It is also where you met Lemina. You'll unlock "Lemina's Entrance" by doing this. There are also some at the top of the Mystic Ruins. So return there and climb to the top to unlock "Recorded History", and "The Entrance".

Board the Dragonship Destiny and go to where Pentagulia was. You'll get the following scenes - "The Holy City", "Dragonmaster Ghaleon", "Audience With Althena", "Dragon Attack", "Death of the Blue Star", "Luna's Story", "Zophar's Revival", "Zophar vs. Lucia", "Zophar's Castle", and "Omni-Zophar" (that's a lot!). Afterwards, take the Destiny to where it was paralyzed by Neo-Vane (east of the Zaback Mines) to get the "Neo-Vane" scene. Return to Horam and enter the Blue Dragon Dojo to get "Shadow Warrior Jean".

That leaves three to get. The rest are found either in the Dragon, or the Water Ruins and will be covered later in this section.

The Brave Labyrinth (Optional)
The Brave Labyrinth is to the north of Horam. Enter it. There are a series of locked doors that can only be unlocked in a specific way. The enemies here are really strong. In the first room you have to run in a such a way that the enemies run over the four sword plates on the floor. Doing this makes the door open. Go through the door. In the next area you will be shown a sequence of statues. Searching the wrong one results in a very difficult fight with creatures that can kill you in a round. To open the first door, search the second one from the left. The second door is opened by the third one from the left. The third is opened by the leftmost one, and the fourth one is opened by the rightmost one. The last one is opened by the third one from the left.

The third section is different. Spears pop out of the gray areas of the floor. The friezes of the soldiers with the spears indicate which ones are safe to cross. Cross them in this order - right, left, left, right, right, then go through the door. There is a single chest in the room. Heal and save the game before opening it. There are three enemies guarding it. The Hero's Talisman is weak to physical attacks, and the Arms are weak to either ice or fire magic. Make sure that the Talisman dies first - it summons further arms to battle you! When it is dead, start using attacks like Blue Dragon Fist, Catastrophe, and Batallion Sword. Lemina should bring up both Jean and Hiro's attack twice, then she should use Catastrophe. Ronfar should use Divine Litany, then Tranquil Litany. Hiro should use Triple Sword on the Talisman and then Batallion Sword once its dead. That about sums it up! It is a very frustrating battle, but there is a great reward for winning! It is called the Hero's Talisman. Equip it to Jean, so she can use it right at the start of every battle! You can now leave the Brave Labyrinth.

The Dragon's Nest (Optional)
The Dragon's Nest is near to where Pentagulia was. The enemies within are much easier than the Brave Labyrinth, yet they do more damage. At the first junction go west. Pick up the Goddess Hairpin. Return to the junction and go east. Go north, then west to find the stairs going down. Go to the south and enter the large room. Go through the southeastern tunnel and go north at the junction to get a Goddess Bracelet. Then return to the large room and go through the southwestern exit. Go down the stairs there.

Go south and then east when you reach the third floor. At the next junction go north and go into the second passage on the right. Grab the Nameless Sword from the chest. Then go west, north and down the stairs. Go west, southwest, northwest to find a chest containing a Dragon Shield. Go south and then southeast at the junction. Keep going east until you can't anymore. Then go north and go down the stairs. Go south and then northeast. Keep going until you get the Sage Staff from the chest. Go to the southeast, then to the northeast and go through the door to the outside. When outside, go west and then go down the stairs.

Go north, then east. Grab the Life Jewel from the chest, then south and go down the stairs. Go south and the southeast to get a Silver Light. Then go to the southwest and follow the passage to the end. Climb down the stairs. Go north at the first junction. Go northwest and grab the Chaos Armor from the chest. Then go northeast at the last junction. Go outside and pick up the Gale Crest. This powerful item brings up the amount of attacks the wearer has. In combination with the Goddess Crest, it adds two attacks! You can now leave the nest.

Althena's Spring - The Lost Labyrinth (Optional)
Return to the baths in the Forest of Illusion. Step on the new teleporter through the now open door. This place is a veritable maze, so follow my directions very carefully! Go one block south, and two to the east. Step on the star to teleport to third area of the Lost Labyrinth. Go two to the west, then two to the south. Step on the star to get transported to the fourth part of the maze. Go two sections to the north and one to the east. Step on the star to be brought to the fifth part of the level. Go two to the east and step on the star to get taken to the sixth area. Go two to the south and step on the star.

You'll be brought to the seventh area. Heal your party and save the game before going north. You'll have to fight a Knight, Angel and Mage Guardian. Cast Divine Litany and Burning Rage in the first round. Concentrate on killing the flying one, the Mage Guardian, first. Have Leo and Hiro attack the Mage Guardian. Lemina should just use her Catastrophe spell. As of the second round, have Ronfar heal the party and have Jean do the same. When she doesn't have to heal someone, have her attack with the Blue Dragon Fist. The Mage Guardian should die on the second round of combat. After that, have Leo and Hiro attack the Angel Guardian, the bottom one. Once the Angel Guardian falls, switch Jean to her Blue Dragon Palm, and keep attacking the Knight Guardian as you attacked the rest. All in all, this battle should take no more than five rounds! After the battle, go north and open the chest to get Alex's Ocarina. You can use this item to play any of the songs in the game. Not too useful, but a cool addition nonetheless. You can now leave this dungeon behind.

The Dragon Ruins
Now you can return to the Dragon Ruins. This is the place where the entire game started! Since then I have wanted to plunder this place, and only now have I been able to! The enemies inside the place are weaker than the ones that you fought in the last few levels. A Blue Dragon Fist is enough to wipe out most groups of creatures. Go all the way to the north, then all the way to the east, and finally, go up the stairs to reach the second floor. Go west and climb the stairs. On the third floor, go south, east, north, east, south, west, and up the stairs.

Go north at the first junction. Go west, then north at the second chance. Open the chest to grab a Justice Rod. Return to the junction where you headed west, and go east. Go north at the first opportunity and follow the passage until its end. Head north and grab the Dragon Armor. Return to the junction that I told you to go east at, and go north. Climb the stairs to get to the fifth floor. Go to the west and pick up the Scarlet Wrap. Then go east and go up the stairs. Go all the way to the south and open the chest to get a Lion Helm. Go to the west and south to find the Archer Crest. Go to the west and then south again to get a Goddess Gauntlet. Then head north and climb the stairs.

Go to the east, south, east, north and up the stairs. Go due south and pick up the Silver Light from the chest. Go west and then north at the end of the hall. Go up the stairs. When you see the boss, stop to heal and save the game. Then attack it! The Phantom Sentry is really imposing! As always, cast Burning Rage and Divine Litany on the first round. When it stands there (like in the picture) it is about to draw the whole party in close to him and it also raises its own attack power. I suggest you reposition your party, and use Dispel Magic to get rid of the extra attack power. When it has its sword arm raised, it is about to use a really strong attack that kills a single character that is not strong to physical damage. When the sword glows, it is about to use a sword attack that hits your whole party. The same kind of attack is used when it reaches out with its normal arm. It doesn't take long to deal with the Phantom Sentry with attacks like Flash Blade, Blue Dragon Palm, Catastrophe, and most importantly, Triple Sword!

Go down the west stairs. Go down the next flight of stairs too. As soon as you get to the bottom of the stairs, you'll be given both "Lucia's Awakening" and "Ruin Raiders", two of the last three memories that were to be unlocked. Take the Right Opal Jewel from the eye on the right side of the dragon's face (in fact the left eye!). I am wondering about the logic here! You can now leave this dungeon. Return to Vane to buy supplies.

The Water Ruins
Go to Azado and walk north into the Sluice Forest. Note that you need the Rememberizer to even enter this place. The Rememberizer glows, giving you the "Moonlit Swim" scene, which should complete your collection. You can also walk into the ruins. The enemies within are really powerful! The puzzles within these walls require a bit of backtracking. It is for this reason that I strongly suggest killing all the creatures that you see. Plus, it builds character!

Just west of the entrance there is a chest containing Saint Clothes. Just to the south there is a suit of Goddess Armor. Now both Leo and Ronfar have really good armor! Just to the west there is a weird glowing design on the wall. By touching these things, the water is drained from a pool on the floor. Go to the northeast and go into the now empty pool and hit the button there. South of the entrance there is another button. Push it, then push the button in the northwestern pool. You can now go into the southern pool and down the stairs. Enter the shrine.

Hit the button right next to the stairs. There is a second to the south. The third one it to the far west, along with a chest containing a Sage Robe for Lemina. The fourth is to the north. There are two chests there too! Open them to get a Dragon Helm and a Berserker Claw - awesome! Hit the switch and go southeast to enter the drained pool. Go down the northern flight of stairs. Go west, south, east and pick up the Life Jewel. To the north there is a Silver Light. Even further to the north there are the stairs to the next floor. Go down them. Just go south on the next floor and down the stairs. You have two choices here - you can fight the boss, or you can skip it. If you choose the latter, feel ashamed of yourself! There is a secret door that you can use to get around the Water Guardian - it is directly to the east of the stairs that led you to this floor. Otherwise, if you feel courageous, heal and save before going north.

The Water Guardian drags itself from the pool of water to the west. Cast Divine Litany and Burning Rage in the first round of combat. When its left arm starts to open and close, it is about to envelop a single character in a bubble. Characters that are caught in a bubble can't do anything. It can only be removed with a Dispel Magic, or Erase Magic spell (the latter is a bad idea!). When its hands are spread wide, it is about to spew poisonous water on your party, which deals incredible amounts of damage to your entire party, and even more so to anyone caught in a bubble. When it starts to spark, it is about to use a devastating lightning attack on a group of characters. Keep attacking it with Blue Dragon Palm (with Slam Dance), Flash Blade, Catastrophe, and Triple Sword. Ronfar should still have his healing job.

After the battle head north and go through the door. Pry the Left Sapphire Jewel out of the socket. You should now have both of the Dragon Eye Jewels. Now leave the ruins. Return to Vane to restock on supplies.

Lionhead (Optional)
Lionhead is to the southeast of Zaback. Enter and be prepared for a challenge. The Working Stiffs are good to pummel on with weapons - but just remember that you only have to kill the Mummy Lord to kill the entire group. The Mutant Turtles are strong to physical attacks, so use magic to kill them. Use Burning Rage and Triple Sword to kill the Dark Eyes (they are worth a lot of experience - 22,222 to be exact!). Lionhead is a maze. I am going to give directions on how to get through it, floor by floor, simply by saying in which direction you should head at each junction.

Floor 1: East, east, north, west, east, north, west, and up the stairs.

Floor 2: East, south, southeast, east, and up the stairs.

Floor 3: Just follow the first path and you should easily see the stairs. Go up them.

Floor 4: Just head south at every opportunity to find the stairs going up.

Floor 5: Go to the left room and open the chest to get a Fantasy Ribbon. Step on the left green thing. Go back to the main room and go to the northwest. Go in the room and step on the left green thing. Back in the main room, go north and enter the side room. Open the chest to get a Miracle Bandanna, then step on the left green thing. Go east and enter the small room. Open the chest to get Lunn's Armlet. Also, step on the left green thing. Enter the large chamber and head to the east. Go in the small room and grab the Holy Shield from the chest. Step on the left green thing before leaving the little room. Go outside and grab Hiro's Bromide from the chest. Heal and save the game before entering the northern door.

The battle with the Devil Eye is a tough one! When it just stands there like in the picture, it is about to toss a single character up into the air. This attack does a moderate amount of damage. When its eye flashes yellow, it is about to zap a single character for more than 400 damage! When it flashes red, it is about to shock the entire party for more than 300 damage. When it bounces up and down, it attacks a single character with a magic symbol - really fast, but kind of weak. This bug is very strong to physical attacks. That doesn't mean that you shouldn't use them! Hiro should always use his Triple Sword. Jean should use Burning Rage twice, then her Blue Dragon Palm. Lemina should attack with only her Ice Arrows spell. Ronfar should cast Divine Litany, and Tranquil Litany whenever it is needed. Leo should use his Rock Cobra spell. It doesn't take long for this thing to fall.

Open the three chests. There is a Silver Light, Healing Ring, and Fierce Fist to be gotten! Step on the top green thing. Walk back to the large room with spikes. Go south and step on the left green thing in the room. Now you can exit Lionhead. Return to Vane for supplies.

The Star Dragon Tower
Go to the Starlight Forest. Go to the northeastern exit. You'll be at the Star Dragon Tower. Go up the stairs and pop the two Jewels in to the sockets. As you enter, you'll be challenged by the Ascent Dragon. I suggest that you kill all of the enemies within the tower, because it makes the climb a whole lot more fun! The enemies here are incredibly strong, but they shouldn't last for even a round against you! Just head north on the first floor to find the stairs. On the second floor, the stairs are to the southeast. They aren't hard to find.

On the third floor, you have to go, north, west, south to find the stairs going up. The fourth floor is much of the same thing - lots of enemies and not much to do! Just go to the north and climb the stairs. On the fifth floor, just go the south via the southeast to get to the stairs. Go up them. On the sixth floor just head north to find the stairs. Heal and save before going up the stairs.
Hiro must defeat the Star Guardian in a 1-on-1 battle. Heal with a Passion Fruit when necessary, and keep using Triple Sword. Only five uses are necessary to beat him! After the battle, climb the stairs. Say goodbye to your friends. Climb up to the Crystal ad use it to teleport to the Blue Star. Now you can watch the real ending to the game! You also get to listen to some outtakes!
